Restructuring of the management of 4iG Group key companies

In November 2023, 4iG Group announced its transformation program based on structural separation applied in the international telecommunications market. This program involves transforming 4iG's telecommunications companies into business-commercial and infrastructure companies, then integrating their operations according to the separated functions. Entering the next phase of the program, the group's board has begun forming the top management teams for companies operating under the new structure.

Until the transformation processes are completed, the temporary domestic telecommunications commercial companies, formed from DIGI, Invitech, Antenna Hungária, and Vodafone, will be led by Tamás Bányai, CEO of Vodafone Hungary. As the legal conditions for the ongoing company separations are met, Tamás Bányai will take over the CEO duties of these commercial companies from their previous leaders. In the next phase following the separation, these commercial companies will merge under the ONE brand, and Tamás Bányai will become the CEO of the newly formed large telecommunications company. Tamás Bányai has joined 4iG Group in 2023 and has been the CEO of Vodafone Hungary since September last year. He began his career at Vodafone Hungary in 1999, working in commercial leadership roles before becoming Director of the Consumer Business at Vodafone Malta in 2014. Following the sale of the company, he served as CEO of the newly formed Epic Malta telecommunications company until his return last year.

Until the end of the transformation processes, the management of the infrastructure companies formed from the group’s telecommunications companies will be restructured. As the legal conditions for the ongoing company separations are met, Albert Kis, Group Wholesale and Infrastructure Manager, will become Chairman of the Board of these companies. The companies will be led by CEO Gyöngyvér Papp-Gerlei, who will ensure coordinated operations during the integration process, preparing the infrastructure companies for integrated operations from next year. Gyöngyvér Papp-Gerlei has over 20 years of sales and management experience. Since February 2024, she has been the CEO of Antenna Hungária Zrt., having previously worked as Deputy CEO and Commercial Director of the company. She played a significant role at DIGI Távközlési és Szolgáltató Kft., where she worked as Acting Managing Director. During her career, she spent 15 years at Invitel Távközlési Zrt. and its predecessors, and also worked at Canon Hungária Ltd., where she led the sales team in Hungary.
