Press Release
4iG SDT enters partnership with Aeronautics, leading manufacturer of tactical unmanned aerial systems
- Hungarian 4iG Space and Defence Technologies Zrt. (4iG SDT) and Israeli Aeronautics Ltd. (Aeronautics), leading developer and manufacturer of combat-proven unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and advanced intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) technologies –signed a Memorandum of Understanding on strategic cooperation.
- Under the partnership, companies explore opportunities for offering modern UAS, including loitering munitions (LM) and related technologies to customers in Europe, with potential production in Hungary. The companies also assess the conditions for establishing a joint venture to support regional and global sales.
- 4iG SDT objective is to become a key player in the regional development and manufacturing of tactical and mini-UAS systems, ensuring substantial Hungarian added value across development, production and export activities.

The cooperation focuses on assessing advanced capabilities in unmanned aerial systems, including R&D for mini-UAS and tactical
UAV platforms, and the enhancement of intelligence, target acquisition and data-collection functions. Particular attention
will be given to the Aeronautics-developed, combat-proven Orbiter UAS family, to strengthening modern ISR capabilities, and
to integrating NATO-compliant technological requirements. The partnership also covers an assessment of the operational and
system-integration of loitering munitions. In parallel, the parties examine the conditions for establishing European production
and subsystem-manufacturing capacities.
The cooperation includes preparations for European sales and support activities, as well as an analysis of how Hungary can
serve as a regional hub for selected tactical UAS models from the Aeronautics’ Orbiter family and for strengthening the European
presence of loitering-munition solutions.
As part of the agreement, the parties are assessing the possibility of establishing a joint venture that would enable the
sale of Hungarian manufactured UAV systems in the European market. Such a venture would strengthen 4iG SDT’s defence-industry
position and export capabilities within the regional ecosystem of tactical and mini-UAS systems.
“The strategic cooperation agreement with Aeronautics opens opportunities for the defence division of 4iG Group. The establishment
and localisation of unmanned aerial systems play key role in building modern defence capabilities and can strengthen Hungarian
industrial competencies in developing NATO-compliant systems. Our cooperation with Aeronautics enables Hungary to become a
leading UAS technology hub in the region,” said István Sárhegyi, CEO of 4iG SDT.
“The European UAS and Loitering Munition market is rapidly growing. Our strategic cooperation with the 4iG Group, a leading
force in the European market, will enable to implement the inherent synergies between 4iG's strong footprint in Hungary and
Europe together with Aeronautics' three decades of combat proven Tactical UAS and Loitering Munitions expertise.” said Dan Slasky, President and CEO of the Aeronautics Group.
