4iG Informatikai Zrt. to acquire a 90% stake in Mobil Adat Kft.
The transaction strengthens 4iG technology portfolio in IoT/M2M data communication services
- 4iG Informatikai Zrt. (“4iG IT”) acquires 90% stake in Mobil Adat Kft., one of the leading providers of managed data transmission services in Hungary.
- The purpose of the acquisition is to expand digital services ecosystem with strategic IoT/M2M and telecommunications capabilities – particularly in the data communication of online cash registers, vending machines, EV chargers and smart meters – while enhancing the commercial and technological synergies between Mobil Adat Kft. and 4iG ICT and telecommunications services.
- Following the completion of the transaction and the integration of managed data transmission services, 4iG, which covers the full value chain of digital infrastructure, will be able to provide comprehensive IoT solutions spanning from sensors to data centres. Through this acquisition, the organisation advances its strategic objectives to become a key IoT and data communication service provider in Hungary and the wider region.
4iG Informatikai Zrt. (“4iG IT”) acquires a 90% ownership stake in Mobil Adat Távközlési és Informatikai Szolgáltató Kft.
(Mobil Adat), a company specialised in IoT data communication technologies. Under the agreement, 4iG IT obtains two 45% ownership
stakes – from Mobil Adat Holding Zrt. and SHOAL Vagyonkezelő Zrt., respectively – subject to regulatory approval.
Founded in 2012, Mobil Adat Kft. focuses on secure data communication, providing connectivity for online cash registers, POS
terminals, fuel stations, vending machines and other IoT devices requiring real-time data transmission. The company offers
flexible and scalable technology solutions built on its proprietary cloud-based integrated SIM and IoT management platform,
which is unique in the telecommunications market, and provides consultancy and development support to its partners.
