Barna Gáspár earned his bachelor’s degree in banking and finance, followed by a master’s degree in corporate finance. He also obtained the EFFAS ESG certification. He has gained a significant professional experience in Hungary and Germany, primarily in investment banking, Big Four consulting, and credit rating.

He spent five years in investment banking and structured finance roles at Citibank and later at Raiffeisen Bank. Following this, he and his team became Hungary's leading debt advisory group at Ernst & Young Advisory Ltd., where he provided credit rating advisory services for more than twenty bond issuance projects.

He continued his career in Berlin as a Director in the corporate ratings division at Scope Ratings, where he was responsible for rating global, Hungarian and German companies. For four years, he served as the main point of contact for the Hungarian National Bank’s €4 billion bond program.

He has studied, worked, and lived in four different countries and speaks Hungarian, Romanian, English, and German at a native level. He is currently learning Spanish.

He joined 4iG Plc on July 1, 2025, as Group Director of Investor Relations and Capital Markets.
