Montenegro selects 4iG Group to implement digitalization development projects
- The Government of Montenegro selected 4iG Group for projects with the objective of developing technology used by law enforcement agencies and establishing a data centre with related infrastructure.
- The investment marks 4iG Group’s first large-scale international government contract in digital infrastructure development.
- The decision, which was made within the framework of the national cooperation agreement signed between Hungary and Montenegro on July 1, 2025, represents significant international recognition of 4iG Group’s capabilities, as well as the growing regional importance of the Hungarian technology and ICT sector.
- The developments to be implemented as part of the Montenegrin government’s investment project include deployment and integration of IT and telecommunications systems, the procurement of equipment, as well as installation, training, support, and operational services.
- The total budget allocated for the advancing law enforcement technology project exceeds EUR 54.2 million.
- The development of the data centre with related infrastructure is currently in the preparatory phase, the final budget will be determined by the implementation working group.

The Government of Montenegro selected 4iG Group from Hungarian companies to implement ICT projects aimed at technological
development of law enforcement, besides of establishing a data centre with related infrastructure. The decision recognizes
4iG Group’s international system integration experience and technological expertise, and marks a milestone in the company’s
history, as it represents the first time 4iG can deliver large-scale technology development and provide integrated solutions
for a foreign government client.
The projects are being implemented under the intergovernmental cooperation agreement signed by Hungary and Montenegro on
July 1, 2025. The agreement aims to prepare and execute joint technological developments, while also strengthens the participation
of Hungarian companies in digital infrastructure development programs of Montenegro.
The law enforcement development programme and the related system integration will be implemented by 4iG Group’s subsidiary,
4iG Informatika Zrt. (4iG IT), including the delivery and installation of equipment, necessary training, and ongoing expert
support. The budget allocated for the IT investment is EUR 54.25 million. The data centre and related infrastructure development
project will be carried out by 4iG International Digital Infrastructure Zrt. (4iG IDI), which will design and operate the
TIER III-certified state data centre. Following the establishment of a working group to support the project’s implementation,
professional consultations will begin to define the investment’s costs and financing options.
The investments currently in preparation will contribute to strengthening the international presence of Hungarian technology
and system integration expertise, while reinforcing 4iG Group’s position among the region’s leading technology service providers.
