New Chief Operating Officer in 4iG management
The Group becomes a technology holding company
4iG Plc. continues to implement its growth strategy. In order to ensure efficient operations, strategic and operational management functions will be separated in the company’s management. Aladin LINCZÉNYI has been appointed as Deputy CEO, responsible for transforming the group into a holding company and implementing the related corporate strategy. Tamás TÁPAI, who has just joined the company, will be responsible for the operational management of 4iG’s IT companies.
In line with its earlier announcements, 4iG Plc. will start to develop a holding structure aligned with its strategic focus areas, based on three major business units: IT, Telecommunications and Telecommunications Infrastructure and Space Industry. To ensure the successful transformation of the Group and to manage the challenges of rapid growth effectively, 4iG Plc has decided to entrust the management of the business area and its processes to an independent manager. In line with the decision, Aladin LINCZÉNYI, member of the Board of Directors, will be responsible for the development of the holding organisation and the implementation of the development strategy as Deputy CEO. As General Deputy CEO, Tamás TÁPAI, who has just joined the Group, will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of 4iG’s IT division.
“Our goal is to successfully integrate the new companies into the Group, while maintaining growth on an accrual basis, and to initiate the transformations within the company that will result in 4iG Plc. to become a leading technology holding company in Hungary and the region. The process will also involve changes in the company’s management, the first step of which is to separate day-to-day operational and strategic management tasks. Aladin LINCZÉNYI, with whom I have been working for many years in strategic corporate governance, will support the Board of Directors in the global construction and transformation of the Group. In parallel, we will entrust the integration and day-to-day professional management of our IT interests to Tamás TÁPAI, who has significant experience in this area”, stressed Gellért JÁSZAI, Chairman and CEO of 4iG Plc., with regard to the announcement.
4iG Plc. aims to build a dominant market position in a wide range of IT and ICT services in Hungary and the region and plans significant growth in the domestic and regional telecommunications market. The company aims to gradually transform its organisational structure into a holding structure according to its investment targets, in line with the pace of organic and acquisition-driven growth, within 1-1.5 years, as currently envisaged.
Background information:
Tamás TÁPAI has a degree in engineering, computer engineering: He has gained experience in project management, senior management and corporate governance in a multinational environment. He has worked for companies such as Audi Hungária Motor Ltd., Daten-Kontor Ltd. and MOL Plc. Between 2014–2016, he was Head of IT for the Central and Eastern European region of Sanofi-Aventis Co., and between 2016–2020, he was Head of Development and Deputy CEO of T-Systems Hungary Ltd. For the last year, he has been running his own company, where he worked as a consultant on the renewal of the IT system of the Hungarian Handball Federation.
Aladin LINCZÉNYI has graduated in Economics. After 10 years of experience in commercial banking, where he held several senior positions, he joined KONZUM Plc. in 2012. Since 2015, he has been CEO of KPRIA Hungary Ltd., since 2016, he has been member of the Board of KONZUM Plc., since 2017, he has been member of the Board and CEO of Konzum Investment Fund Management Ltd. In 2018, he became Deputy CEO of 4iG Plc. and member of the board of the IT company.
