4iG ACQUIRED THE MAJORITY OWNERSHIP IN SPACENET LTD.

Following the approval of the Hungarian Competition Authority, 4iG Plc. closed the transaction to buy majority ownership in SpaceNET Ltd. and acquired the ownership of 70% of the shares of the company.

SpaceNET Plc. implements, operates and supports network, IT security and data centre infrastructure solutions. The company is a Cisco GOLD partner, meaning that it may provide support services to its clients independently. Almost exclusively on the Hungarian market, the company is certificated to the highest standards, has highly qualified professionals and references to sell Cisco products and services to the widest range of clients.

Since its foundation, the company has been the exclusive Hungarian representative of DataCenter Group, a German provider of basic data centre infrastructure, and also specialises in Checkpoint, F5 Networks, DELL-EMC, KEMP, IXIA, Pensando and HPE-Aruba products.

4iG Plc’s goal with the acquisition is to develop its competences in the designing, implementation and operation of Cisco-based networks, to extend its network security activities and to establish basic data centre infrastructure development at the Group. The unmatched technological and complex manufacturing certificates of SpaceNET in data centre and network development are key for 4iG.
